Suniel has a deep passion for sports such as Cricket, Hockey, Boxing, etc. He himself is an active sportsman in Cricket, being the captain of the "Mumbai Heroes" Cricket team.

He is also the chief mentor for the "Karnataka Lions" Hockey team. He is an avid fan of hockey and as such tries to bring the sport to upper ranks and get it the interest and status it deserves. On the Boxing side, he is a Black Belt in Kick Boxing. This interest spilled over into the World Series Boxing. He is an active supporter in the Boxing league.
